Description

It was a warm summer's day in late June, 2004, when I was laying out in the sun, relaxing and enjoying the sounds the season had to offer. Busy, uncomfortable people in thier vehicles playing thier loud music, children playing in the neighbouring streets and gardnens and the birds playfully chirping happy tunes to each other.

A flash of light crossed my eyes. A large white butterfly with two dots on each wing fluttered past me so carefree. Floating from flower to flower to consume it's prize.

I watched it go from each flower to the next as it passed by so usual. It was such the simple thing, and such an important thing for it though it seemed to enjoy it in it's routine of getting as much nectar as possible.

I grabbed the camera and took a quick close-up and let him on his way again, not bothering him as we both enjoyed the warmth of the golden sun~

I am suprised it didnt fly away when you took the picture. That always happens when I try to take a picture of a flying insect.

That is an awesome picture! There's so much detail, you can see everything on the butterfly!
