I think this is a queen C. pennsylvanicus (carpenter ant). Found it crawling across my living room last night.
Not a good thing to find it in the house, though I didn't realize it at the time. Shoulda followed it back to the nest instead of just letting it go outside. Hopefully it hasn't decided to start a colony here. :0
